David A. Paley

David is a Partner Advisor with AdvicePeriod. He has over twenty five years of experience in financial services as a trusted advisor to high net worth individuals and family offices. Through David’s broad and deep financial expertise, technical acumen, solutions-based approach, and ability to drive processes, he has earned the trust and loyalty of clients. David specializes in working with law firm partners and senior corporate executives.

Prior to joining AdvicePeriod, David was a Managing Director, Senior Client Advisor and the Deputy Chief Investment Officer of KLS Professional Advisors (currently a division of Boston Private), a Registered Investment Advisor that advises on approximately $7 billion of client assets. In addition to his leadership role on the investment committee, David was a trusted advisor and team leader providing technical and integrated solutions to individuals and families across all aspects of wealth management; investment management, financial and retirement planning, trust and estate planning, insurance, and philanthropy.

Prior to KLS, David worked in the global capital divisions of major financial institutions for 22 years, leading teams and building highly successful platforms that provided investment, risk management, and financing related solutions to wealth management and institutional clients.

David earned his Master of Business Administration from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, where he was selected as a fellow at the Center for Technology Transfer. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in economics from the University of Michigan. David is a frequent speaker at wealth management conferences and has been an expert consultant on retail financial products for the Securities and Exchange Commission.

David lives in New York City with his wife and two daughters. He is an avid triathlete and marathon runner and the President and Co-Founder, with his two daughters, of Donate2Dance Ltd, one of the fastest-growing non-profit organizations within the dance community.
