Alan Gelb, CFP® is a Partner Advisor with AdvicePeriod. With over 30 years of industry experience, Alan counsels clients from various backgrounds on all matters of investment management and personal financial planning.
Alan earned his Bachelor of Arts in Economics from The University of California, Irvine and his MBA from Loyola Marymount University. He is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™and obtained his certificate in Personal Financial Planning from UCLA. Alan is also a member of the National Association of Personal Financial Advisors (NAPFA).
As a fiduciary, Alan works solely in the best interests of his clients and believes in full transparency. Integrity, honesty, fairness and a genuine care for his clients’ overall wellbeing are all traits that he is known for by those he serves.
With the belief that the ultimate purpose of hiring a financial advisor is to help his clients meet their unique financial goals and objectives, Alan is adept at actively listening as clients discuss their wants and needs – and often helps them uncover goals that they may have overlooked. As these goals and objectives are identified, Alan will develop and implement the strategies needed to help make them a reality.
Alan resides in West Los Angeles with his wife Stephanie – a practicing attorney – and their young twins, Ethan and Sophia. They count their rambunctious Australian Shepherd mix rescue named Bandit as their third child. In his free time, Alan enjoys cooking, travel, gardening, wine tasting, and hopes to complete his second Ironman Triathlon later this year.
