PARTNER ADVISOR

Kimberly Clouse

I am a wealth advisor for families with a closely held business, thought leaders, and innovators. Being a two-time CEO of multi-million dollar entities, I have an eye for the key issues, with experience crafting solutions that can be executed practically. I take important (and often) time-consuming responsibilities off my clients’ plates rather than adding to the burden of managing complex situations.

I partner with my clients on the following deliverables and any other unique needs they may have.

  • Make better informed decisions about creating and maintaining family wealth
  • Optimize the use of a marginal/extra dollar
  • Minimize total lifetime taxes paid
  • Mitigate knowable risks
  • Deliver executive-level insights on the interplay of family dynamics, wealth, and business

Immediately prior to joining AdvicePeriod, I was the CEO and Founder of Via Global Advisors, an independent multi-family office. As CEO of Hale and Dorr Wealth Advisors, I defined the company’s strategy and oversaw the turnaround of the firm. Early in my career, I worked at Goldman Sachs and J.P. Morgan, and later served as Managing Director of Athena Capital Advisors, a firm specializing in institutional-sized private clients.

I am an active member of YPO Gold, the graduate organization of the Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO), a global leadership organization of chief executives. I served on the board of the Coolidge Corner Theater Foundation, as well as the investment committee of the Brookline Community Foundation. I served on the Board of Directors of Market Street Trust Company (the Houghton family office), on the Board of the private trust company for a Midwestern-based family, and chaired the Advisory Board of Covestor, one of the first “robo advisors.”

I earned an MBA from Harvard Business School and graduated summa cum laude from Rice University.
